This course introduces students to a systematic approach to identify, analyze, and reduce or eliminate errors and waste. RCA tools and strategies can also be used very effectively as a preventive strategy to avoid unnecessary costs, avoid process delays, accidents, and other costly incidents. Key tools covered are brainstorming, check sheets, pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, scatter diagrams, histograms, flowcharts. Root cause analysis is an industry-recognized best practice.
