This course is designed for engineers and technicians who have experience but little technical knowledge. The course addresses the following topics: chemical/physical properties of Portland cement and Portland cement concrete, PCC mix proportioning, standard tests on freshly mixed and hardened PCC, including non-destructive tests chemical/mineral admixtures, special types of PCC, fundamental behavior of HMA and SUPERPAVE mix design.
